What I'm whispering to every woman who's scared of layoffs

Reader,

It's begun. Retrenchment talks. Even though the company I work at has announced 'restructuring' after the acquisition, up to this point, this was only happening at the global and regional level, and the top folks in our country. Last week, the first trickle has landed in country.

As someone in HR, conducting these conversations is the part of my job I hate most. Watching people cry. Seeing the shock, anger, and helplessness wash over their faces. Knowing that in an instant, their sense of security just shattered.

It's also why I recorded this week's podcast episode.

Because here's what I want every single person to understand: Your job is not your worth.

I know this intimately. Years ago, I quit a job without a backup plan. When I tried to retract my resignation, they said no. The rejection felt personal, crushing. As the sole provider with no savings, panic set in fast.

But that moment of terror also sparked something deeper - a resolve to never again depend on a single income for my family's wellbeing. It reignited the business dreams I'd had since my 20s but buried under the busy-ness of life, raising kids, and just surviving.

Now, as I sit across from employees whose worlds are crumbling, I'm more committed than ever to helping women break free from financial fear.

This week's podcast: 'When Your Job Isn't Your Worth' - I share the raw truth of my own career crisis and the strategic moves that turned my biggest breakdown into my breakthrough.
